Homologation and certification of automotive parts for importation.

On December 31, 2012, the Ministry of Economy issued a regulatory provision on Foreign Trade, setting the obligation to have a certificate of Official Mexican Standard (NOM) to import automotive parts into Mexican territory.

In the case of automotive parts, there are rules that classify goods subject to compliance with Official Mexican Standards at the point of entry into the country.

The regulations have been updated every year, incorporating more products and with stricter aspects of their certification, regarding compliance with the importation of goods.

To mention some spare parts, we have tires and radios for automotive use, for which GCORP is constantly updating with this issue to always be within the strict margins of compliance, in order to give our customers the assurance that we can advise them to comply with these regulations.

The importance of certifying the automotive parts before entering Mexican territory under the applicable Mexican Standards is of utmost importance, since without them the merchandise could not enter national territory, which would cause the merchandise to be stopped in customs while paying large amounts for storage and delay payments, if pay for this additionals we can ensure, that the cost will ending up being excessive.
